Where have we been?
The answers to this question are endless. “We” are a population, nation, province, community, class, and probably the most important, ourselves. Humans have been through so much (good and bad) to get us to where we are today. We have made advancements, discoveries, mistakes… but we are still here as a nation and population striving and surviving.
The world has been through a lot, and there is no doubt about it. From the beginning of time, to primates(?), to today, this world has been there. I don’t know all the details because obviously I did not experience it all and I am not a Historian or Mr. Jackson, but I know that the world has been through a lot of good and bad. Discoveries, inventions, and peace, wars, plagues, and deaths (even though some sound bad) have shaped our world to what it is today. We cannot change the past, but we can thank it, and also learn from our mistakes and successes, which brings us to the next question –
Where are we going?
There is one simple answer to this question: I don’t know. Well, no one knows. Unless you build me a time machine right now, I can’t give you a definite answer. Who knows, maybe an asteroid will hit earth tomorrow and we will all die. I am sorry for the depression you might have received from that, but it’s true, we don’t know. I really like to think that won’t happen, and we as a population will continue to move forward and make great advances. One thing I do know is that we will move forward in time, and we as a population will advance. I guess only time will tell.
