One word for the night was “wow”. Night of the Notables was the most amazing night. Yes, it was a bit stressful (a bit) but it was one of the best nights I have had!

Grade tens!

Can I just take a moment to compliment every single one of the grade ten speeches. From the first speech to the last I was completely blownaway. I had been to two Night of the Notables before because my brother was in TALONS, but this year’s speeches were actually my favourite. I’m not just saying that because they were my classmates, but they were genuinely some of the best speeches I have ever heard. I guess the pressure is on for next year! ahhh!

Since I was on food committee, I didn’t get a lot of time before the speeches to look at all the learning centres, but from the ones I saw they were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t believe all the hard work and time everyone had put into their projects. They were incredible.

One of my goals for this project was to improve and develop my public speaking skills. When doing the speech I actually wasn’t that nervous because I was prepared and I had read it over many times. I didn’t really have any other main gaols other than completing the project so I guess I met all my goals!
Overall, I think this was one of my favourite projects I have ever done. I would like to thank all of the committees for putting it all together. Without the committees the night wouldn’t have happened. I would also like to thank the JAM squad. Obviously without them there would be no Night of the Notables and we would have had to do worksheets instead. I actually have no idea how they (especially Ms. Mulder) do it. I saw them run around making sure everything was in order and the night would be successful, so thank you.

I will post my learning centre post later because the photos on my camera are taking a loooong time to upload on my computer.
